Framework agreement with DPP

IVECO Czech Republic completes major framework agreements with DPP, Prague Public Transit Company

25th February 2022

IVECO Czech Republic in Vysoké Mýto and DPP, the Prague Public Transit Company have signed 3 framework contracts for the supply of CROSSWAY Low Entry and new STREETWAY models. Up to 253 buses could thus be delivered to the Prague Public Transit Company (DPP) from 2022 to 2027.

Three 5-year framework agreements concluded between IVECO Czech Republic and DP Prague covers the purchase of up to 10 units of CROSSWAY LE 14,5m, up to 100 units of STREETWAY 12m and up to 143 units of STREETWAY 18m, according to the needs of the public transport company.

Both CROSSWAY LE and STREETWAY models, selected by DP Prague, benefit from the excellent reliability offered by the latest Cursor 9 engine developed by FPT Industrial. The HI-SCR patented technology allows the vehicles to comply with Euro VI-e standards without resorting to EGR, guaranteeing a very high NOx conversion efficiency (over 95%).

With a total length of 14.5 m, the CROSSWAY Low Entry 3-axle is the perfect solution to welcome more passengers on board with maximum comfort and safety. The Low Entry concept guarantees excellent accessibility for all passengers entering and exiting the vehicle. It performs perfectly in both city and intercity operations.

Designed to satisfy every need and deliver the best city transport, the new STREETWAY is a low-floor city bus available in 12 and 18.75 meters long versions, which prioritises accessibility and passenger comfort.

"I am glad that we managed to tender for the purchase of new buses without unnecessary delays and at very optimized prices. These days we have signed all three framework agreements with Iveco Czech Republic, which will allow us to further modernize our bus fleet over the next five years. The purchase of these new IVECO BUS vehicles, thanks to the most modern technologies, is in line with the Climate Commitment and the City Plan of Prague," said Petr Witowski, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of DPP.

“We are very honoured with the trust that DP Prague granted us through the signature of these major agreements, and we are particularly proud, with all our teams, to come-back in the Czech Republic’s capital. It is important for IVECO Czech Republic to provide DP Prague with relevant and effective mobility solutions” states Stéphane Espinasse, Head of Sales & Products, IVECO BUS.

By concluding this framework agreement of up to 10 CROSSWAY Low Entry units and 243 STREETWAY units, IVECO Czech Republic and DPP will be materializing a new collaboration in urban and interurban bus projects for this well-known European capital.
